Here I go again with my guitars packed in my van and hit the road
Wait for the weekend to show it's face but it'd be Sunday 'til they're shown
I never even know if I will make it coz my van is always broke
And the RAC man knows my name and every time we meet we share a joke
But if you'd be so kind as to fix me by the road
If you can't decide that the engine's gonna go
If you have the time I'd appreciate a tow
Coz come hell or high water I will make it to my show
Spending all my time on the hard shoulder has the power to bring me down
Stuck inside the no-man's land between two different towns
Losing all the romance in the idea of a life spent on the road
Happy in the knowledge that tonight at least I will get to go home
And if you'll be so kind as to greet me from the road
With a great big smile and a kiss to let me know
You'll always have the time and you'll never let me go
Coz come hell or high I will always make it home
And every penny that I make unfortunately will be
Taken up by fixing my van
I'd like to think that I can earn enough by doing this
But if I'm really honest with myself, I don't think I can
Waiting for the day when I can confidently say that I am done
The day when I grow out of this and playing my guitar stops being fun
The trouble is I don't believe that day will ever come within my years
And you're afraid I'll never stop, and I'll just keep confirming all your fears
So if you'll be so kind as to listen to me play
I'll help you find another reason you should stay
We'll be just fine on the money I get paid
Coz come hell or high water I will always keep you safe
Right to my dying day

I love all the songs on this album. They hit you in the feels every one of them in different ways. Break the Bottle is close to home and gets me big time. If you can't listen to 'If Home is Where the Heart is' and sing along at the top of voice with joy in your heart, you are dead inside. Lisa Black
