Throw another moron on the fire, they burn so well
Turn an honest man into a liar, but can you tell?
Sit around and take it on the chin, but we don't bruise
Tell ourselves we're sure we let them win, coz we don't lose
I wish I'd never learned the truth
Carried on living in a lie
Only one path left to choose
Blinkers keeping me in line
I wish that I could just forget
Go back to where I used to be
Back when ignorance was bliss
Just before you met me
Now I am surrounded on all sides by fear and blame
And I lack the strength to stand and fight - wallow in shame
Couldn't feel much weaker if I tried, so take your fill
Couldn't feel less alive if I died, but I live still
I wish I'd never learned the truth
Carried on living in a lie
Only one path left to choose
Blinkers keeping me in line
I wish that I could just forget
Go back to where I used to be
Back when ignorance was bliss
Just before you met me
How can you live with this in your head?
How can you live?
How can you live with this in your head?
How can you live?
I wish I'd never learned the truth
Carried on living in a lie
Only one path left to choose
Blinkers keeping me in line
I wish that I could just forget
Go back to where I used to be
Back when ignorance was bliss
Just before you met me

Beautifully played and full of moving vocal performances, the Bay Area singer/songwriter's latest is a stellar work of art. Bandcamp Album of the Day Feb 3, 2023
I love all the songs on this album. They hit you in the feels every one of them in different ways. Break the Bottle is close to home and gets me big time. If you can't listen to 'If Home is Where the Heart is' and sing along at the top of voice with joy in your heart, you are dead inside. Lisa Black
